Dear Xavier Moms,
On behalf of the Xavier Mothers’ Guild Executive Board, welcome to Xavier! To returning Xavier moms, welcome back!
The Xavier Mothers’ Guild is an all-inclusive, volunteer-run organization. Our purpose is to help enrich your relationship with your daughter, provide you with opportunities to meet and socialize with other Xavier moms, and provide you with volunteer opportunities that support Xavier.
The Mothers’ Guild organizes several mother/daughter activities throughout the year. We also host monthly meetings on campus where Dean Macrina will keep you updated on student activities and you can hear speakers talk about subjects that are relevant to both you and your daughter. We host a wide variety of moms-only social activities, both during the day and in the evenings, and we also plan and execute two fabulous fund-raising events during the year. The 2017 Annual Holiday Dinner and Auction, “All that Glitters,” takes place on November 10th and benefits The Legacy of Leadership Capital Campaign. The lovely Xavier Scholarship Fashion Show takes place in the spring on March 11, 2018 and contributes to Xavier’s scholarship fund. Last year, we raised more than $500,000 between the two events! Make sure you explore our website to learn more about our committees and events.
We invite and encourage you to get involved, in any way you can. Come back to visit our site often because this is where you can find our calendar for upcoming meetings and events. Also, look for us at Back to School Night 2017 for any questions you might have.
Enjoy your summer break! We look forward to seeing you in August! With many blessings,
Lana Holmes ‘85
Xavier Mothers’ Guild President, 2017-18 (Katie, 2019)
