PROJECT LOAVES AND FISHES IS COLLECTING NON-PERISHABLE FOOD ITEMS!!!

February 4th, 2018 | Posted by Martha Chung in Service Projects - (Comments Off on PROJECT LOAVES AND FISHES IS COLLECTING NON-PERISHABLE FOOD ITEMS!!!)

lOAVES AND FISHES 2

As part of our Lenten sacrifice, Mothers’ Guild and the XCP faculty and staff are teaming up again for the
3rd Annual Project Loaves and Fishes

This collaborative effort provides “Easter Baskets” to 12 deserving current XCP students and their families.  Led by staff members Stacy DiStefano and Michelle Enciso, they collect food items from the staff during Lent (which begins on Wed, Feb 14th). Our Mothers’ Guild helps by providing monetary donations and volunteers to help shop and pack basket items, which are non-perishable food items used to pack healthy lunches and prepare meals/treats. The first collection will be held at our meeting on Tuesday, Feb 6th at 11:30am and the second collection will be at our March meeting, Tuesday, March 6, 6:30pm (joint meeting with Dad’s Club). Your generosity makes this Project a truly meaningful Lenten experience for everyone involved!
Check out the finished baskets (actually huge laundry baskets!)

filled with all types of foods: flour, rice, sugar, pasta, sauce, cereal, as well as treats such as cake/brownie/cookie mixes and Easter candy!

Please sign up to volunteer your time to shop, organize our pantry and pack/decorate baskets:
